We make apparel for people who train, compete and explore, and who are fully aware of how seriously they take it.
You know who you are. You have a 5:47am alarm, a hanger full of finisher medals, a spreadsheet of race entries and strong opinions about socks and which shoes to wear. You're not a professional. Nonetheless.
Why we exist
Most sports brands talk to two people: the pro who's paid to care, and the beginner who needs encouragement. Everyone in between gets ignored.
That's a lot of people. Runners, hikers, lifters, social club regulars and weekend pickleball players who show up, put in the work and do it because that's what they love. We think that's the purest kind of commitment, and it deserves better apparel.
So we started the Recreational Standard and our Department of Recreational Excellence. It's not an official department. We're very committed to it anyway.
What we believe
- Sport doesn't need to be your job to deserve your full attention.
- Laughing at yourself is how you keep going. People who can't laugh at their training plan tend to quit it.
- The real win is still showing up in week after week. A lifetime of participation beats a single peak performance.
- Every pace is welcome. Front of the pack, back of the pack, and everyone who stops for a photo at the summit.
What we make
Thoughtful, durable apparel with a straight face and a dry sense of humour. The garment is built properly, the jokes live in the copy, and the best ones are on the labels and tags.
Our clothing is printed all around the world, with regional print partners around the globe so your order reaches you quickly. Wherever you train, we'd like you to be wearing it by the weekend.
